Rick Taylor
As senior partner in a medical practice for over 20 years and an experienced occupational health practitioner, Rick Taylor has been focusing on health and professional welfare for most of his working life.
Following his years working within a hospital environment and subsequent training as a GP, Rick found himself practicing medicine in Avonmouth, the centre of Bristol's industrial heartland. Many of his patients also worked in this part of the South West and he soon became interested in the effect on his patient's health of working within a predominantly heavy industry sector.
This initial interest led him to undertake the Diploma in Occupational Medicine, which he passed in 1995, before deciding to specialise in this field whilst continuing in general practice on a part-time basis. He then went on to study for the Faculty of Occupational Medicine membership exams, which he passed in 1999, and has steadily increased his occupational medicine practice since that time leading to the inception of Taylor-Mohrs.
A registered nurse for over 25 years, Lynne first developed an interest in occupational health whilst working as head of a health-screening department. She subsequently set-up her own business and has extensive experience in the field of occupational health and health screening.
In 2004 Lynne began work with Dr Taylor where her calm and efficient manner and the skills she has developed in occupational health have enabled her to deliver a first class on-site health surveillance service, as well as providing occupational and travel vaccinations for companies at both a local and national level.
Penny Riches
Penny joined the company in September 2008 and brought with her over 35 years of commercial experience from a variety of sectors. Out of work her passion for skiing has led to her involvement with adaptive skiers and for the past 2 years she's been the Slope Administrator for Gloucester Disabled Skiing - organising monthly sessions at Gloucester Ski slope - always on the look out for more help! To keep fit during the rest of the year she cycles, roller-skates and attends Pilates.
Julia Stokes
A clear thinker with a keen eye for detail, Julia works as a practice secretary where she provides administrative and client support, and is also responsible for the day-to-day efficient running of the accounts. All this while balancing her busy life as a mother of a young family!!
David Irving
Having spent 30 years in general practice, David recently left his position as senior partner in a medical clinic in Clevedon to join Rick and his team. David's career first begin with a large company in Johannesburg before moving into medicine. With his ancestors from Scotland and after training at Cambridge University he always felt a strong attraction to working in the UK and settled in Bristol with his wife and family.
Despite the rewarding and enjoyable nature of his former position and his previous experience setting up and running a nursing home company his holistic approach to patient care led him to look into a career in occupational health. This has allowed him to pursue his interest in the effects of a person's employment on their overall welfare. David brings with him an enthusiasm for people and a warm and engaging personality which make him an ideal member of the Taylor-Mohrs team.
